Claudia Mason, 77, peacefully passed away at her home in Sierra Vista, Arizona, on July 4, 2025.

Born and raised in Douglas, Arizona, Claudia was the eldest of eight children born to Claude Lawrence and Margot (Maria Margarita)Soto Riley. She graduated from Douglas High School and attended Cochise Community College. Claudia spent most of her life in Southern California working in marketing and advertising before retiring to Sierra Vista with her late husband, Al Mason.

Known for her warmth, grace, and hospitality, Claudia had a gift for bringing people together over one of her signature meals and always made those around her feel welcome. She loved animals especially her cats and found great joy and peace in the beauty of the desert, its birds, and wildlife.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Julia Henry; her siblings Jim Riley, John Riley, Matt Riley, and Kathy Riley (Jim Nicholson); nephews Nick Mejerski, and Stephen Nicholson; as well as many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Mason.
