Clara Sue Lockner Moreno, a life-long resident of Cochise County, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
She was the daughter of Peter T. Lockner and Evelyn Glen Lockner Ackley, who both preceded her in death. Born December 18, 1946, Clara attended Loretto Catholic School, followed by Douglas High School, where she graduated in 1964. She was a member of Tri-Hi-Y, Silver Key, Golden Key, A Cappella Choir, Girls Chorus, PEP Club, and FHA, and she was also a cheerleader. After high school, she attended Cochise College.
Clara is survived by her three children, Angela, Ami, and Matthew, three granddaughters, Ryann, Evelyn, and Jocelyn, her great-grandson, Jaxon, and her brother, Michael. She also leaves behind her dear friend and sister-in-law, Sharon. Clara had many lifelong friends that she kept in touch with, as well as numerous extended family members, that she loved dearly.
In memory of Clara, a Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 800 Taylor Dr., Sierra Vista, Arizona, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
