Christopher Sartain Obituary

Christpher was born in Ft Devens Massachusetts to the late Patrick and Barbara Sartain. In his early years the family lived in Frankfurt Germany and Ft Hood Texas before the family settled in Sierra Vista, AZ in 1983.

Christoher was a graduate of Buena High School with the class of 1994.

Christopher resided with the Aires program for the last 25 years of his life with his two roommates that were more like brothers (Ramon and David) and the amazing Aires staff of care providers.

Christopher was active in the Special Olympics where he excelled at bowling and loved playing softball. He also loved watching his cooking shows and frequently dressed like Guy Fieri (not just for halloween).

Christopher is survived by his sister Kathleen (Tim) O'Neill , his nieces Carly (Brandon) Filitsky and Cierra (Storm Yowler).

Chris is also survived by his "other sister" Windy Petit and her family Ashlee Petit and Ira Petit. Also survived by his “beloved” Marissa as he so lovingly called her.

Christopher came into this life with many challenges that he faced with grace and fortitude, he taught us all what it means to be kind and show love to one another. He faced his days with happiness, looking forward to what small treat or adventure each day had to offer.

The family would like to acknowledge the people in Chris's life that made a difference and impact on him: The entire staff at the Aires Barona house, especially Selena and Skylar (that always made him laugh), Edwin that became his personal barber (only one he wanted to do his hair), Bianca and the entire DTA staff, Kassandra (he loved you so much), Nichole for being everyone's rock and the best advocate for Christoper. The entire staff at Davita Dialysis (Diane and Erlene, for so much love and tender care).
