Charles Sherman Fuller
30 December 1947 – 1 September 2025
Charles was born 30 December 1947 in Pasadena, California, to Leland (Grant) and Patricia (Pat) Fuller. He graduated from Eagle Rock High School in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, CA, in 1966. He joined the US Navy in 1971 and was discharged honorably in 1973. Charles then graduated from CalPoly-Pomona in California where he met the love of his life, Stephanie Whiting. They were married 26 August 1973. They lived Virginia from 1976 until 1981 when they moved back to California. Charles worked for various companies in California between 1981 and 1994 when he took time off work to care for his ailing parents and personal health problems. Charles and Stephanie along with 3 of their children moved to Colorado in 1995. In 2005, Stephanie and Charles opened their home permanently through adoption to a young girl, Anna. In 2012, Stephanie and Charles moved to Huachuca City to be closer to their oldest child ; the rest of their children followed soon after. Charles was a stay-at-home-dad between the years of 1994 and 2014 when Anna moved out of the house.
Charles was an Elder at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Delta, Colorado from 2000 until 2013. He was also an Elder at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Sierra Vista, Arizona since 2014. Charles was an avid racer participating in land speed racing at the Bonneville Salt flats since 2013 and with the 24 Hours of Lemons since 2016. He also had a life-long interest in mechanics and railroads.
Charles is survived by his three sons: Quentin (Kim) Fuller of Newport News, VA, Taggart Fuller and Leland (Victoria) Fuller of Huachuca City, AZ, and two daughters: Hannah (Jonathan) Harms of Douglas, AZ, and Anna Fuller of Tucson, AZ. Charles is also survived by 15 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, his younger brother: Donald (Gloria) Fuller of Reno, NV, and a neice. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one grandson.
