In Loving Memory of Barbara Ann Tobolski
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we celebrate the beautiful life of Barbara Ann Tobolski, who passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on December 16, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Alexander and Frances Altieri, Barbara was a woman of immense warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Barbara was the heart and soul of her home, a loving wife, mother, and Nana who dedicated her life to nurturing those she loved. A true Italian matriarch, she embodied selflessness, making every moment special and every gathering feel like home. She worked at Saint Vincent De Paul, but her most treasured role was that of a homemaker, mother, and Nana, a role she embraced with boundless love and devotion.
Her passions were as unique as she was. As a baton twirler in high school, she carried that same grace and energy throughout her life. She never missed a yard sale or a live auction, always finding joy in the little things. Her love for making diamond paintings filled her library room with stunning artwork, and her home reflected her deep appreciation for Victorian elegance, from her carefully curated kaleidoscope and decorative egg collections to the roses she adored. Barbara loved angels, wine, and soap operas, but above all, she lived for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Barbara was the heart of every holiday, her cooking bringing family together in ways only she could. She lovingly babysat her grandchildren, ensuring that her children could work and further their education. Every card, craft, and gift given to her was cherished and preserved, a testament to how deeply she valued the love of her family. She taught, played, and created with her grandchildren, making memories that will last a lifetime. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support made her a woman impossible to forget.
To know Barbara was to love her. Her love was unconditional, her laughter contagious, and her presence irreplaceable. Those lucky enough to have spent time with her were truly blessed. Her family will forever hold her close in their hearts, cherishing the incredible memories and legacy she leaves behind.
Barbara is survived by her first and only love, her devoted husband of 46 years, Leo Richard Tobolski; her daughters, Annamarie Ray and Tabatha Reed; her son, Leo Tobolski; her eight beloved grandchildren, Kane, Isaiah, Luke, Destiny, Amberlee, Mikayla, Alia, and Xander; and her brother, Sandy.
Though she has left this world, Barbara is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, Frances and Alexander, her brother Franky, her nephew Johnny, her grandparents, and her grandson Taysean.
Barbara; Wife, Mother, Nana, Sister, and Friend, we love you and miss you every day. Your love and light will live on in all of us. You may have left this world unexpectedly, but your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those that knew you. We will carry your memory with us always.
