Sierra Vista-Barbara A. Kolinovsky, 99, formerly of Tucson passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 5, 2020 in Sierra Vista. Barbara, daughter of the late Andrew S. and Mary (Macko) Kolinovsky was born in Henrietta, Ohio on September 16, 1920.

In 1926 she and her family moved to Taylor, Pennsylvania where she was raised and graduated from Taylor High School in 1938.

Barbara served her country joining the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946 during WWII and attained the rank of Seaman First Class. While serving with the Navy she received training in dental hygiene while stationed in San Diego, California.

After an Honorable discharge in 1946, Barbara attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating in 1948 with a certificate in Dental Hygiene.

Barbara moved to Tucson in 1948 where she lived and worked for over 70 years.

She is survived by two brothers, Stephen and George Kolinovsky and several nieces and nephews.

Services and Military Honors for Barbara will be held Thursday morning 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista.
