Barbara Jean (Evans) Barnett

Barbara Jean "Barbi" Barnett, age 72, passed away on Aug 18, 2025. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on February 6, 1953.

Barbi graduated from Buena High School in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She worked on Fort Huachuca for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) for 40 years. She truly loved supporting soldiers and their families. Through this work she touched many lives.

She was an extremely compassionate person, amazing mother, and friend. She was not just a mother to her only daughter but any child who needed one. 

Barbi was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Barnett, nephew David Evans and her parents Pete and Jean Evans. She is survived by her child, Casey Barnett, her siblings John (Donna) Evans, Mel (Mary Beth) Evans, and Marcia (Jim) Naughton, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life will be held on September 21, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Ethel Berger Center in Sierra Vista, Arizona. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
