Anthony James Nieto beloved husband and father passed away on May 23, 2026. He was born on February 23, 1960 to Arthur Francis Nieto and Ruby Payton Nieto.
Tony was a University of Utah graduate and an enthusiastic “Utah Man”. He served in the Army where he was the last in his family to retire ending 60+ years of continuous service. He worked tirelessly on programs to help and protect soldiers while performing their duties. Tony was a lifelong Atlanta Braves baseball fan and was thrilled to go to Braves Fantasy Baseball camp where he met and made friends with many of his Braves baseball heroes. He supported the community where he coached little league, served as a Boy Scout leader, and commanded B Troop, 4th U.S. Cavalry (Memorial). Tony was a lover of music and played the tuba in marching band through college. He took great pleasure in being able to be a part of giving students an extraordinary band experience. He always had “Eyes with Pride”.
