February 9, 1951 to August 21, 2019
Bill was born in Rensselaer, NY to Maxwell and Jane LaRoche. He was the oldest of 7 siblings and moved frequently in the US and overseas as an “Army Brat.” In his youth he was an avid baseball pitcher and bowler. Bill graduated from Salina High School in Kansas and also attended Pima Community College in Tucson, where he lived for over 40 years. He lived the Bohemian lifestyle and was at the formative age of 13 when the Beatles and Rolling Stones had their first albums, continuing to love 60’s music throughout his life. Bill was a poet and journaled throughout his adult years. He had a sense of humor with an inclination toward corny jokes. He was a cat-lover who cared for many strays from the washes of Tucson.
