Raymond Anthony Cotner

October 20, 1954 - November 1, 2019

Raymond Anthony Cotner passed away on November 1, 2019. Raymond was born to Robert and Gertrude Contner on October 20, 1954 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He had a wandering spirit, living life hard. One of his greatest prides was being a part of a military family, himself serving in the Marine Corp. After leaving the Marines, Raymond worked as a Finishing Carpenter before going on to starting his business, FX Computers and Imaging, and founding Vapor Geeks in Sierra Vista. Ray was a compassionate soul, who loved deeply and whose generosity touched many.

He is predeceased by his father, Robert Cotner, and his brother, Jerry.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Julie, and his mother, Gertrude; his sister and two brothers; his children, Danielle Mendoza and Joshua Ray Cotner; his 7 stepchildren; and 16 grandchildren.

Raymond will be laid to rest at Southern Arizona Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1300 2. Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona, on Thursday November 14 at 10:00 a.m.

There’s A Reason

For ev’ry pain that we must bear,

For ev’ry burden, ev’ry care,

There’s a Reason.

For ev’ry grief, that bows the Head

For ev’ry tear-drop that is shed,

There’s a Reason.

For ev’ry hurt, for ev’ry plight,

For ev’ry lonely pain-racked night,

There’s a Reason.

But if we trust God, as we should,

It all will work out for our good,

He knows the Reason.
