Judith Lee Morris
January 2, 1944 - February 24, 2019

Judith Lee Morris passed away in her home on Sunday, February 24th, at age 75. She was with her husband Bruce, daughter Michelle, son-in-law Keith, and brother Michael when the lord called her home. She was a loving mother, loving and faithful wife, and a woman with a great heart.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 27 years, Bruce Morris, her daughter Michelle M. Greeson and husband Keith W. Greeson; daughter Heather L. Skattebo and husband Dean Skattebo her step-children Stephen V. Morris, Christopher Morris, and Samantha Amdall; her sister’s Pamela Nemeth, Donna Bright, Kristall Bright; her brother’s Elmer (Sonny) Bright, Nathan Bright, Michael Bright, and Jeffrey Bright; 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Judith was born in 1944 in Del Rio, Texas. She was the first born of a large family of 8 children to an Air Force father, Elmer and mother Wanda. Judith grew up traveling the world with her Air Force family, and as a teenager she witnessed post WW II European reconstruction, and saw the building of the Berlin Wall. Her Father and the Family were stationed in West Berlin when she graduated from the Berlin American High School and she was proud to be labeled a “Berlin Brat”. She had an uncanny sense of history and her tales of adventure and intrigue in Berlin during the Berlin crisis were captivating. Judi was an accomplished singer and sung with the Dayton Opera for Several years. She also performed on stage and was acclaimed as an excellent actress in several community theater groups. Prior to her retirement Judi worked as a Department of the Army Civil Servant for 18 years, recognized for her accomplishments. Judith first came to Sierra Vista in 1977 but returned permanently to her retirement home here in 2008.
